The Mindful Performance Mission:
To supply people with tools that promote greater well-being and thriving – in school, on the playing fields, and in their life as a whole.
The work starts with learning the tools and more about ourselves.
We then "live" by practicing them ourselves first. We must take care of ourselves before we can be at our best for others.
Then, we are in the best position to lead others.
To supply people with tools that promote greater well-being and thriving – in school, on the playing fields, and in their life as a whole.
Whether it is performing in the classroom, on stage, or on the athletic fields, students are under a tremendous amount of pressure (sometimes self-imposed!). Mental skills training can prepare students to optimize their performance and well-being through evidence-based skills, habits, and tools that are grounded in positive and sport psychology.
Mental Skills Training workshops for a campus community can be delivered to a variety of members, including students, athletes, teams, coaches, teachers, departments, etc.

Lani’s mentorship and coaching has been invaluable to me. Not only did she help me become a better athlete, but she helped with my goal setting and mindset in many different aspects of my life. I have become more mindful and driven because of her advice, classes, and support. If anyone has the chance to learn from her I would highly recommend it!
Working with Lani on my mental approach to the game of Basketball has had a profound impact. The impact is so far-reaching that it has helped me in every day life also. At times during the early stages of my career in college and prior to it, I struggled with anxiety, dealing with adversity and self confidence. After taking the time to sit with Lani and go through some of her incredible exercises, I would now consider those three elements as strengths of mine. It showed on the basketball court as I was able to significantly improve my production in all areas during my Senior season and am now pursuing my dreams of playing professionally.
I can meet virtually 1:1 for coaching. These sessions are usually 45 minutes to 1 hour. I can lead you through the 6-week RESET program, the 12-session online MPTC course, or just have weekly check-ins and work on things based on the needs and interest of the individual.
My daughter feels that she is more mindful of her thoughts and feelings and now has strategies to redirect negative thoughts. This work has positively impacted her academic and athletic performance and also improved her confidence and trust in herself.

I thought this was a truly amazing experience where I got to learn about a side of my game that I never realized was so important. Not only was I able to learn this for my own sake, but I also thought I was able to transfer this knowledge to my teammates. These new skills were not only useful on the court, but also transferred to many other aspects of life including the classroom.
